frequently asked questions
how do i look after my jewellery?
air dry & polymer clay:
while the resin coating gives the clay piece a level of waterproofing suitable for everyday wear, we recommend removing your jewellery before showering, bathing or swimming. keep out of direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight to prevent discolouration of resin.
beaded & costume:
less sensitive to resin discolouration or paint fading; however, we still recommend not to wear while showering, bathing or swimming to protect plated metal components from discolouration.
precious metal & gemstones:
these items can be worn during bathing and showering, but we recommend removing them for swimming - both chlorine and saltwater are more likely to cause changes to the metal and potentially to gemstones, especially with repeated exposure. gems may become discoloured with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
do you sell in-person?
yes! we can be found selling in-person at events and markets across leeds, and these are advertised on our instagram page.
why don't you sell to the EU?
short and quick answer: EU Regulation on General Product Safety 2023/988.
the slightly more wordy answer: since we ship from the UK, we haven't been within the EU since 2016. this means that under the new GPSR rules, we would need an 'EU responsible person' as a named contact for the safety of our products. as a small business, this just isn't possible for us at the moment, so shipping to the EU (and Northern Ireland, as it's part of the EU market) is currently unavailable.
